SCOPE

Scope and Topics

Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering are subjects of great scientific interest, the understanding of which is of vital importance in many branches of medicine and science. Likewise, advancement in the field of  medical devices have also interested scientists and doctors to a great extent.

Biomaterials are artificial materials intended to interact with biological systems. Tissue engineering / regenerative medicine is a multidisciplinary field involving biology, medicine, and engineering with an intention to improve the health and quality of life by restoring, maintaining, or enhancing tissue and organ functions. It can have a  therapeutic application, where the tissue is either grown inside a patient or outside the patient and transplanted. It can also have diagnostic applications where the tissue is made in vitro and used for testing drug metabolism and uptake, toxicity, and pathogenicity.

The aim of the International conference in Medical Materials, Devices and Regenerative Medicine is to provide a forum for the discussion on advancement in the fields of Biomaterials, Tissue Engineering and Medical Devices. Being held in an underdeveloped country, it will also help to promote research work in these areas in this part of the world.

Topics of interest will include:
